I knew I wanted to become a physician since I was in elementary school. I always enjoyed learning about health and the body. During my senior year of college, I learned about the philosophy of osteopathic medicine. I believe that the body has the intrinsic ability to heal itself, and I wanted to learn manual therapy. It was the perfect match for me.
After completing my family practice residency in New York, I moved to Las Vegas to work in a primary/urgent care practice. It didn’t take long for me to realize that conventional medicine was not for me. I did not feel like I was making a difference in people’s lives. I felt like I was just filling out prescriptions and referring to specialists. Nobody was getting healthier.
